My Future Course - Kawergosk Camp, Erbil, Iraqi-Kurdistan - February 2015

The fifth "My Future" course took place in Kawergosk Camp, Governorate of Erbil, from the 2nd to the 12th of March 2014.

650 Syrian students aged from 15 to 50 years old were trained by EPOS, and received a "Certificate of Attendence". 8 tutors were selected amongst the Syrian refugees and worked side by side with EPOS staff

5 professors of the University of Salahaddin were trained in teaching metholodogy in emergency situations by EPOS. Then, they taught in Kawergosk Camp coupled with Italian professors.

"My Future" project intends to engage the Syrian refugees in a training that will be able to provide them with a renewed trust that could be easily transmitted to their compatriots. The course also provides them with the necessary knowledge to make them able to re-shape the role of civil society in a new given context and provides opportunities for their future as civil society representatives. It is also aimed at and helps to overcome discrimination and issue related to gender, ethnicity, age, disability, economic or educational difference.

The course was funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
